Using Syrris Asia Syringe Pumps, researchers at the Dept. of Chemistry (University of Cambridge), IBG-1: Biotechnology (Germany) and INB (Aachen University of Applied Sciences) have demonstrated an enantioselctive preparation of O-Acetylcyanohydrin in a three-step telescoped continuous process.
Exploiting novel process windows for the synthesis of meso-substituted porphyrins under continuous flow conditions

Researchers from Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos and Universidade Federal de Rio de Janeiro have demonstrated the synthesis of a range of meso-substituted porphyrins under continuous flow conditions. This much-improved method demonstrates the multi-gram scale-up of highly pure porphyrins in a safe, cost-effective, reproducible and robust manner.
Sensitive Progesterone Determination Using a Magnetic Particle-Based Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay

This publication describes the synthesis, silane functionalization and use of magnetic Iron nanoparticles in combination with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to facilitate the hybrid technique of ‘magnetic nanoparticles – ELISA’ for use in the capture of progesterone in numerous types of milk. The synthesis and functionalization of the magnetic nanoparticles were carried out in an automated Globe system (now replaced by the Syrris Orb Jacketed Reactor) to furnish nanoparticles with a mean size of 182.4nm and 292.8nm after functionalization.
