It is possible to have full parallel control of any of the systems already described in this section by using Atlas Parallel Software 1. The Atlas Parallel Software 1 allows many systems (up to 4) to be connected to one PC and controlled in parallel e.g. up to four of the following systems:
Atlas Lithium
Atlas Sodium
Atlas Potassium
Atlas Volumetric Dosing
Atlas Gravimetric Dosing
Atlas Turbidity
Atlas pH Monitoring and Control
Atlas Remote Mount
Atlas Reaction Monitoring
Atlas SonoLab
Atlas FT-IR Spectrometer
Atlas Calorimeter
Atlas Parallel Software 1 opens multiple instances of Atlas Software 1 (2300102) and defines the system to which each piece of apparatus is assigned (such as Atlas Base Units or other manufacturer’s apparatus connected by an Atlas Port). Data from all systems can be viewed in the Run View of any instance of Atlas Software 1 and all can be saved to one common .csv file.
The software provides whole system control, configuration and analysis. It not only controls the Atlas hardware, but nearly all RS232 controlled apparatus and analogue sensors can be connected to the software via a simple Port (2101020) which plugs into the computer’s USB connection. This allows automation of any compatible laboratory apparatus with full recipe control.
Running reactions from the software allows all responses such as temperature, stirrer speed, pH and mass flow to be continuously monitored and graphically displayed in real time. Apparatus is configured using a simple “drag and drop” interface and recipes can be created, changed and saved with a click of a mouse.
Responses from sensors can be continuously monitored and graphed with easy to use alarms and emergency control. Experiments can be modified “on-the-fly” and all reaction data is continuously logged to .csv data files making analysis easy.
