The Tube Reactor Ring Set consists of two metal rings.  The first fits onto the Hotplate enabling alignment of the Tube Reactor (2100632 or 2100633). 

The second fits over the Tube Reactor, reducing convection heating of the cooling zone fins on the top of the reactor.  This increases the cooling rate of materials as they leave the reactor.
