Orbit 12 is a low cost parallel synthesis system for research and development chemistry.  Reaction tubes are placed within the base unit and sealed with a cap/septum.  The Orbit 12 lid then seals around this and allows injections into the tubes under an inert atmosphere.  Magnetic agitation of each tube provides good reaction mixing.

The Orbit 12 can be placed in a reflux unit (2200031) to enable operation under stong reflux conditions.  Connections to both water/coolant and inert gas are made through the reflux unit.  Orbit 12 can be easily removed from the reflux unit, the lid remaining cool for safe handling.

Orbit 12 is designed for use on an Atlas base unit (2101000) with a hotplate (2101001) and magnetic stirrer (2101002) but is compatible with a wide range of hotplates.
