Orbit 6 is a low cost parallel synthesis system for research and development chemistry.  Reaction tubes are placed within the base unit and sealed with a cap/septum.  The Orbit 6 lid then seals around this and allows injections into the tubes under an inert atmosphere.  Magnetic agitation of each tube provides good reaction mixing.

The Orbit 6 can be placed in a reflux unit (2200031) to enable operation under stong reflux conditions.  Connections to both water/coolant and inert gas are made through the reflux unit.  Orbit 6 can be easily removed from the reflux unit, the lid remaining cool for safe handling.

Orbit 6 is designed for use on an Atlas base unit (2101000) with a hotplate (2101001) and magnetic stirrer (2101002) but is compatible with a wide range of hotplates.
