One of the greatest benefits of flow chemistry is the ability to integrate synthesis with either in-line or on-line analysis. This allows variables such as temperature, reagent, equivalents of reagent and reaction time to be varied and monitored, either in real time, or very close to real time. One reaction can follow another through the reactor in rapid succession (like trains on a track) in a fast serial, rather than parallel approach. By using a fast serial approach, knowledge is gained after every reaction and can therefore be more efficient. |

The AFRICA HPLC can automatically take a sample of each experiment, dilute, inject onto the HPLC then run and analyse the chromatogram.

The chromatograms above are the analytical data from a reaction optimisation run performed using the AFRICA HPLC. |
The AFRICA analysis modules allow full integration of synthesis and analysis.
