The need for flexible reactor systems and excellent reaction control has led to a recent trend to investigate the use of flow chemistry for manufacturing of synthetic targets. Syrris flow reaction systems (AFRICA and FRX) are ideal for the early stage study of flow processes and for modelling of reaction parameters.
Production of chemicals by continuous flow processes are increasing rapidly as the drive for lower wastage, higher efficiency processes becomes more important. Both the Syrris AFRICA and FRX systems can be used for studies related to the transfer and optimisation of processes as they are transferred from Batch to Flow operation.
FRX, the low-cost flow system from Syrris is ideal for modelling of flow processes as they are transferred from batch chemistry and then increased to manufacturing scales. The simplest FRX system (FRX100) provides all the necessary components (pumps, flow reactor, pressure regulator) to study simple flow reactions at elevated temperatures and pressures. The more complex FRX systems include different reactor types and sizes, additional pumps and even online aqueous work-up modules.
